1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to Smart Sweep Cleaner and its features, including Junk Clean, Large Files, Screenshot cleanup, App Manager, App Process, Battery Info, Device Status, Notification Blocker, desktop widgets, language selection, rating prompts, and related settings.
The App is designed to process cleaning and device information primarily on your device. Unless a future version states otherwise, the App does not require a user account and does not upload scanned file paths, notification content, installed app lists, screenshots, or device status details to our servers.
2. Information We Access or Process
Depending on the feature you use and the permissions you grant, the App may access or process the following information on your device.
Device and system information
The App may read device model, Android version, RAM usage, storage usage, screen resolution, battery level, charging status, voltage, temperature, and similar system status data. This information is used to show Device Status, Battery Info, onboarding device checks, and related cleaning recommendations.
Storage, files, and media
When you use Junk Clean, Large Files, or Screenshot cleanup, the App may scan storage areas, media indexes, screenshots, file names, file types, file sizes, creation time, and similar metadata to identify files that may be cleaned. The App only deletes files after you select or confirm the action where required.
Screenshots
The App may identify screenshots through system media indexes or screenshot folders. Screenshot lists may include thumbnail previews, creation time, size, and selection status so that you can review and delete screenshots.
Installed apps and running processes
For App Manager and App Process, the App may read installed app names, package identifiers, app icons, app sizes, installation time, and running/background status where available. The App Manager feature does not use Usage Access permission and does not show last-used data.
Notifications
If you enable Notification Blocker or grant notification access, the App may read notification metadata such as notification count, source app name, source app icon, latest notification time, and information needed to organize or clear notifications. The App may create a persistent Notification Blocker notification that shows the total notification count, source app icons, and a Clean action.
Permissions and settings
The App may store permission status, feature settings, selected language, widget status, red-dot reminder status, prompt frequency, and similar preferences locally on your device.
Ratings and feedback
If you use the rating prompt, the App may process the star rating you choose in order to decide whether to show a feedback dialog or launch the Google Play review flow. If Google Play In-App Review is used, ratings and reviews are handled by Google Play according to Google policies.
3. How We Use Information
We use information accessed or processed by the App to:
- scan and identify junk files, large files, screenshots, and cache-like items;
- show device, battery, storage, RAM, and app status;
- allow you to select files, screenshots, apps, or notifications before an action;
- clean selected items, delete selected screenshots, or uninstall selected apps after confirmation;
- organize notifications when Notification Blocker is enabled;
- show a persistent notification summary when Notification Blocker is active;
- provide desktop widget shortcuts;
- remember language and feature preferences;
- show permission, rating, and recommendation prompts according to product rules;
- improve stability, usability, and user experience.
4. Permissions
The App requests permissions only when they are needed for a feature.
Storage access
Storage access may be required for Junk Clean, Large Files, and Screenshot cleanup. If you deny or close the storage permission flow, the current feature exits and returns to the previous page. The App does not show fake scan results when permission is denied.
Notification access
Notification access may be required for Notification Blocker. Without this access, the App shows a permission guide and does not fabricate notification counts.
Notification posting
The App may request notification-related permission in order to show the persistent Notification Blocker notification or feature reminders where applicable.
Desktop widget
The App may request the Android system to add a desktop widget. On supported devices, the system may show an add-widget confirmation dialog. After a widget is added, tapping it opens the App through the splash screen and then routes to the corresponding feature.
5. Sharing and Third Parties
Under the current product scope, the App is designed to process the functional data listed above locally on your device.
We do not sell your personal information.
We may interact with third-party or system services in the following limited ways:
- Google Play may process ratings and reviews when the Google Play In-App Review flow is used.
- Android system services may process permission requests, widget pinning requests, file deletion authorization, notifications, and system settings.
- App store platforms may provide aggregated app performance, install, rating, or review information to the developer.
If future versions add advertising, cloud sync, crash reporting, or other third-party SDKs that collect or share user data, this Privacy Policy must be updated before release.
6. Data Storage and Retention
Most App data is processed locally on your device.
- Scan results are intended for immediate display and cleaning actions.
- Language choice, feature preferences, prompt counts, widget status, and similar settings may be stored locally until you clear App data or uninstall the App.
- Files, screenshots, apps, or notifications that you delete, uninstall, or clear may not be recoverable through the App.
- If the App does not operate a user account or server storage, we cannot restore data that has been deleted from your device.
7. Your Choices
You can control App access and data use by:
- granting or denying Android permissions;
- disabling Notification Blocker or individual app notification switches;
- not selecting files, screenshots, apps, or notifications for action;
- changing the App language from the language entry;
- removing desktop widgets from your launcher;
- clearing App data or uninstalling the App from Android settings.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the App's design to protect information processed by the App. No app, device, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Children
The App is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use digital services without parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. International Users
If you use the App outside the country where the developer is located, your use of the App may be subject to local privacy laws. You are responsible for using the App in compliance with laws that apply to you.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the App or store listing.
